 FAQs

  • Circular Systems addresses all aspects of waste management in multi-unit dwellings and apartment buildings. We go beyond just collecting waste materials; we set up your waste area using best practice behavioural methods, provide a direct line to our support team, and offer over 8 waste streams with centralised support and billing. Our service includes live transparency data so you can track where your waste is going, as well as monthly reports. We audit your waste and develop targeted education campaigns to improve resource recovery, enhance environmental impact, and save money for your building.

  • Circular Systems collects data at each pickup, tracking the amount of waste material collected. This data is then analysed to determine the associated greenhouse gas emissions and the final destination of your waste. You will have live access to the data report from your building that includes the kilograms collected for each waste stream, the corresponding greenhouse gas emissions, and where your waste has been processed. Additionally, Circular Systems offers site visits to any of our processing facilities, providing transparency and insight into our waste management process.

  • Every three months, Circular Systems runs education campaigns for residents that addresses a number of waste and recycling topics. These tailored campaigns are based on your building's waste audit data and any topics raised by you! Yes, we listen to you and what you want!

  • Reground:

Reground is a local social enterprise born out of Melbourne's specialty coffee industry that has become one of Australia's most progressive and dynamic waste organisations.

Reground's hyper-local resource recycling model is miles away from traditional waste practices and unique in the way that it centres connection, community and the circular economy.

Founded by Ninna Larsen in 2014, Reground has diverted over 1.5 million kilograms of coffee (and 50,000 kg of chaff) away from landfill so far, supporting hundreds of local businesses to reduce and avoid waste while investing in the health and resilience of their communities.

The recipient of the 2022 Melbourne Award for Sustainability, the Reground team is passionately shaping the growth of the circular economy through their waste education, advocacy and resource recovery projects.

    APR Kerbside:

APR Kerbside, an Australian family-owned business, excels in innovative recycling practices aimed at producing high-quality recyclable materials and fostering circularity. Located in Truganina, Victoria, the APR Kerbside Material Recovery Facility (MRF) is notable for its exclusion of glass from the mixed recycling stream. This strategic decision has greatly improved the separation and overall quality of household recyclables.

Building upon their initial innovation in glass separation, APR Kerbside has expanded their capabilities to include the collection and processing of soft plastics, as well as the recovery of Tetra Pak packaging. These advancements demonstrate APR Kerbside's commitment to enhancing recycling efficiency and sustainability practices across their operations.

By integrating these practices into their MRF operations, APR Kerbside continues to lead in the recycling industry, ensuring that recyclable materials are processed effectively and contribute positively to environmental conservation efforts.

    SCR Group:

SCRgroup is helping Australia reach its circular economy goals by collecting clothing and textiles you no longer need or want, and keeping them out of landfill.

Our first priority always it to re-use clothing, which has a much higher environmental and societal value than recycling as a first option for unwanted clothing.

For more than 20 years, we have provided communities around the world with access to quality secondhand clothing, created local and global employment, and supported charities to do their work.

We are proud to be part a B-Corporation with ISO certification in Quality Management Systems and Environmental Management.
